Incipit of the Hours of the Virgin ("Domine mea labia aperies"). The initial 'D' is historiated with the tree of Jesse, which grows from the groin of the sleeping Jesse.
The ancestors of Christ are represented in the vertical axis, made up of vesica-shaped openings in the tree's branches, and to either side ten prophets holding books gaze at the central figures.
The prophets are flanked by small narrative scenes illustrating the Nativity.
