Note dated 1609 by George Birch maintaining that the manuscript was written at Glastonbury in 1428; this may refer to the texts added as ff. 129 - 257, possibly for Abbot Ambrose de la Peerie.

Inscribed by Humfrey Wanley ("Humpfredus Wanley") (b. 1672, d. 1726), librarian of Robert Harley (b. 1661, d. 1724) and his son Edward (b. 1689, d. 1741) on flyleaf (comprised of a document of 14th century), f. 1r.

Sold as part of the Harley collection to Parliament by the Countess of Oxford, widow of Edward Harley, 2nd Earl of Oxford, and their daughter, the Duchess of Portland, in 1753 and incorporated into the newly founded British Museum.
