Shroud
история:
It is a symbol of the shroud in which Christ's body was buried after His death on Calvary.
Shrouds are kept in every Orthodox temple as necessary attributes of divine services at Easter, the main Christian feast.
It is made in the workshops of the Moscow Kremlin by the best royal embroideresses under the guidance of tsarina Irene.
Endowed by tsarina Irene Godunova to the Ipatyev monastery in 1593.
