Opposite is the opening of the Hours of the Virgin, beginning with a historiated initial 'H' comprised of a dragon biting a monstrous frowning mouth and depicting the Virgin and Child.

Virgin is shown as the woman of the Apocalypse, standing on the crescent moon and clothed with the sun.

In the border, King David in penitence, with female figure behind him.
